The Regulatory Compliance Manager supports the achievement of its overall business goals by supporting all regulatory compliance activity. The position is responsible for Global policy and processes for regulatory horizon scanning, advocacy, and compliance, as well as subject matter expertise in toxicology, chemical risk management, allergen labeling, GMO, claims, and global regulatory and labeling processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide regulatory leadership in areas including labeling, food safety, food additives, flavors, and claims regulations. Utilize internal and external tools and systems to evaluate ingredients and formulas to make proactive, risk-based decisions.
• Manage a team of Regulatory subject matter experts providing support, tools, advice and technical recommendations to the US and International Regulatory teams and cross-functional business partners.
• Collaborate with Legal, Quality, R&D, Sales and Corporate Communications partners on monitoring emerging nutrition and regulatory trends that could impact the business or unlock growth opportunities.
• Develop team structure and establish personnel development and growth initiatives
• Act as consultant throughout the Company on issues within areas of expertise and make authoritative technical recommendations.
• Lead and participate in task teams and communities of practice related to areas of expertise
• Identify and lead the development and continuous improvement of PDM/business processes to enable global labeling, regulatory evaluations, compliance to claims
• Support externally on priority topics to advocate for Blommer Chocolate.
• Act as a backup of Regulatory Compliance Director as a member of the US and International Regulatory and Scientific Affairs leadership teams
