JOB SUMMARY
- A medical assistant works under the general supervision of the nurse practitioner as support staff. This involves a wide range of interpersonal skills to assist with patient care and education. Position requires a general knowledge of office equipment and computers.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Education and/or experience: Completion of medical assistant program with current state certification as MA preferred. Previous work experience in medical office preferred but not required.
  Knowledge : Knowledge of basic medical terminology and basic pharmacology. Knowledge of specific assistant tasks related to area.
  Skills: Performing tasks appropriately to include vital signs, medial history, and review of medications and allergies
  Abilities: Able to multitask and prioritize in a busy setting. Able to project a pleasant and compassionate image. Work as a team to make sure the patient/family receive the best care possible.
