We are seeking a dedicated a pediatric nurse to oversee the day to day health needs of our pediatric clients across 4 centers (3 in Chicago and 1 in Wheaton). This individual will collaborate with our clinic directors, office managers and clinical staff in ensuring health safety and policy efficacy. The ideal candidate is one interested in developing a brand new nursing department as our organization continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of client vaccine records.
• Manage client-facing staff covid-19 and flu vaccine record management.
• Communicate positive covid-19 cases to clients and staff per internal illness communication policy.
• Assist in contact tracing positive COVID19 cases and determine quarantine requirements.
• Manage post quarantine documentation requirements.
• Manage monthly staff testing requirements
• Monitor client symptoms and enforce illness policy, including COVID19 testing as needed
• Assist in the clinical management of children with complex medical conditions including seizure protocols, medication management, g-tube feedings,
• Collaborate with nutrition department to assist in the management of food allergies and complex diet programs
• Create and provide staff training regarding complex medical conditions
• Provide a basic first aid training
• Collaborate with child's outside medical providers as needed and communicate updates to Eyas/Blue Bird Team
• Providing and/or delegating services including first aid, care for ill students and emergency care to students and staff

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse credential
• Strong case management skills
• Experience working with children with special needs preferred
• Experience working in a school setting is a plus
