JOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the Manager HRIS, Analytics & Compliance, this role is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organizations HRIS applications and modules, including system enhancements. This individual must demonstrate working knowledge of HR Systems, HR compliance process management, risk management and other recognized human resources competencies as well as a deep understanding of leadership and professional development actions.
With a focus on the Three Blue Bird Foundational Objectives: Take Care of Employees: Delight Customers & Dealers : Deliver Profitable Growth, this role will spend time assessing Blue Bird’s culture, identifying problems in areas such as communication, teamwork, facility hygiene, and recognition, and partner with key leaders to develop and execute strategies to address improvement opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules
  • May provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users
  • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports
  • Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff
  • Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements
  • Perform compliance auditing for review by internal/external auditors to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals
  • Ability to keep information confidential
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources or related area of study
  • 5 years of experience with HR Systems
  • UltiPro experience preferred
  • Experience delivering programs in an industrial manufacturing setting
