Job Summary:

As a Senior Process Automation Engineer, you will lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment for medical devices (Class III products and active implantable devices). You will oversee the assembly and integration of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixtures, and develop programs for various applications. Your expertise in design for manufacturability (DFM) and concurrent engineering practices will ensure seamless collaboration with R&D and New Product Introduction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes and equipment in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Program manufacturing equipment, including process control, sequence of operation, and operator interface
• Identify automation opportunities and estimate manufacturing costs
• Develop and characterize new processes and technologies using statistical techniques
• Create and maintain production documentation and assembly procedures
• Identify and resolve problems related to system hardware, quality, reliability, and cost
• Ensure compliance with FDA QSR and Company Standard Development Process

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master's Degree preferred)
• 5 years of engineering experience in automated equipment and process development (7 years preferred for Class 3 Medical Devices)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work creatively, adapt to change, and prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, CREO, AutoCAD), statistical analysis tools (MiniTab), and programming languages (Basic, C/C )

• Experience with motion control, robotics, PLC, HMI, vision application, and assembly automation
• Machine shop experience
