Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Landscape Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Florida landscape design, and a passion for creating outdoor spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
We focus on residential design and installation services, and projects can range in value from a few thousand, to several hundred thousand dollars. We strive to provide an exceptional customer experience from start to finish, and our follow through and warranties are second to none.
The ability to work on multiple projects at any given time, remain in constant communication with your clients and team throughout, and produce beautiful and practical designs is what we are looking for.
We would like to see samples of your designs along with photographs of the finished installations if possible. We do not mind what type of software you choose to work with and can accommodate whatever systems you are used to using.
We provide a casual and friendly working environment, which gets busy at times. Our crews operate a Monday - Thursday, 10-hour day schedule, however our office staff work Monday through Friday. Schedule can be somewhat flexible as long as it remains productive, and the workload and deadlines are being achieved.
Base salary, plus commission on the sale of design projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs, desires and budgets.
- Create detailed landscape plans using software such as MicroStation, Revit, Civil 3D, Sketchup or by hand drafting methods.
- Design hardscape elements including patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Incorporate sustainable and environmentally friendly practices into designs
- Illustrate concepts through hand-drawn sketches or digital renderings
- Conduct site visits for land surveying and analysis
- Work closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the project
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
- Proficiency in software applications such as MicroStation, Revit, Civil 3D, Sketchup
- Experience in landscape maintenance and land surveying is a plus
- Ability to draft, illustrate, and communicate design concepts effectively
- Strong understanding of Florida plant materials, irrigation systems, and construction techniques
