Blue Horizon Development is Hiring an Assistant Event Manager Near St Louis, MO

We are a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to organizing and coordinating fun, memorable events. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality experiences for our clients and are looking for an experienced and creative Event Manager to join our team.
As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for organizing and coordinating events, ensuring they are executed flawlessly from start to finish. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and wants, manage all event operations, and oversee personnel. Strong organizational skills, vendor management, communication, time management, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand the requirements and details of each event
  • Understand clients' needs and wants and coordinate with them regularly
  • Hire, train, and oversee personnel involved in event execution
  • Evaluate personnel performance and provide reports
  • Manage all event operations, ensuring they stay within the budget
  • Carefully oversee event happenings and offer solutions to resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Evaluate the success of each event and submit detailed reports
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of services
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Strong sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good time-management skills and attention to detail
  • Degree in hospitality management, public relations, or a relevant field is preferred
  • Previous experience in event management or a similar role
