Blue Origin is Hiring an Aerospace technician Near Seattle, WA

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will be involved in the fabrication and assembly of flight hardware and the application of coatings for various spaceflight systems.

You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of process and design engineers to characterize, improve, and document manufacturing processes and the resulting hardware quality .

This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight!

Special Mentions :

  • Relocation provided
  • Shifts available : A Shift (M-F 5 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM)
  • Interviews will include a technical assessment

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Apply coatings to parts (including touch-up )
  • Maintain the coating booth operations - ensures desired coating levels, performs product changeovers, and does routine maintenance
  • Operate an automated grit blaster.
  • Operates, cleans, and maintains all equipment, including sprayers, robotic spray guns and pumps, etc.
  • Crane lifts / rotations
  • Performs assembly of precision parts per defined work instructions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Provide manufacturing feedback to design engineers
  • Provide process improvement feedback to process engineers
  • Safely work within an industrial environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of prior work experience in related field
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with paint or coatings
  • Strong written and verbal communication to include, spelling, reading and math skills
  • Experience with high attention to detail applications
  • Ability to use basic precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Experience operating production machinery
  • Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small / restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.

S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired :

  • 5 years of experience in Aerospace or related fields.
  • Experience in high detail paint application
  • Robot operation and programming experience
  • Crane operator / lift coordinator experience

Compensation range for onsite WA applicants is : $29.09 - $40.65
