This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we’re developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin’s mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.

We're looking for an experienced leader with a deep understanding of supply chain technology and its business value to lead transformational supply chain and manufacturing operations programs, with a focus on rocket launches at high rates. You will work with developers to drive projects to completion, serve as a liaison between business units, oversee multiple projects, and build and maintain client relations. Your role will be to co-create and implement technology-enabled, disruptive strategies and solutions to drive growth for our clients. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Lead and manage the vision for the end-to-end manufacturing technology operations, including production planning, manufacturing execution, and production operations .
  • Establish and own the problem resolution process for Manufacturing Operations across the Enterprise Technology team, and drive key business impacting problems to resolution through accountability, decisiveness, urgency, extreme ownership, authority, influence, tenacity, and resourcefulness.
  • Own the product vision and execution for custom software and integrated automation for Blue Origin Manufacturing
  • Mentor and build teammates without direct authority building knowledge of the manufacturing domain and product development practice
  • Identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions to cost, performance, and schedule requirements.
  • Create and measure the manufacturing technology roadmap, ensuring linkage between the roadmap and annual goals & objectives.
  • Create new tools and business processes and implement best practices that simplify, standardize, and enable operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the creation, documentation, and adoption of scalable, standardized, and highly visible technology and related technical processes across supply chain, manufacturing operations functions, and related functions.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and drive optimization opportunities in all areas of scope.
  • Provide feedback and escalate concerns regarding approaches that are cost-inefficient or detrimental to scaling.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 10 years of Technical Program or Project Management experience, including hands-on work managing complex technology projects
  • 10 years of proven experience in supply chain technology, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal skill and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including experience working with Software Development, Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Engineering, and other business functions to create high-quality, end-to-end solutions
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence/Wiki, and Kanban style management
  • Master’s degree or experience in aerospace applications preferred
  • Experience with discrete manufacturing
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with high-performance systems for aerospace applications
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for senior leaders.
