This role is a part of the Test & Flight Operations team, providing centralized support to Business Units with a focus on the design, build, and maintenance of the ground systems, test, and launch facilities across multiple locations. As a Project Controls Specialist in the Ground Systems Development Group, you will be working with project/program managers to define scope and estimate work, build integrated schedules (spanning engineering, procurement, construction, and activation), track status and develop recovery plans, develop Estimates at Completion (EAC), and perform management reporting. Expect to contribute to building a Project Management Organization within Ground Systems Development by utilizing your experience and skills in project scheduling tools and project reporting best practices. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates for ground systems development projects Monitor and report on project performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on project objectives and milestones Support the development of project budgets and forecasts, tracking actual costs and analyzing variances Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project plans are aligned with overall program objectives and schedules Provide project management support, including document control, progress tracking, and coordination of project reviews and approvals Support the development and implementation of project control processes and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of project performance tracking Assist in the preparation of project status reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field 5 years of experience in project controls, program management or related field within the aerospace, high-pressure system, or similar safety-critical industry Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management principles on complex, multi-disciplinary systems, including project planning, integrated master schedules, critical path method, EVMS, and change management. Prioritized self-starter, capable of breaking down complex problems into traceable tasks and concisely presenting project status. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications: MBA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma Certification, and/or Change Certification Prior experience working with or in heavy industry capital projects Prior implementation of Earned Value Management Experience with some or all of the following tools: MS Project, Primavera P6, Tableau, Windchill, Jira, Confluence Experience with executive-level project status reporting , Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $108,360-$151,704 Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $99,330-$139,062 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
