This team is focused on monitoring and assessing processes that guide Blue Origin’s design, manufacturing, and operations, ensuring system safety engineering, environmental health, and safety, product integrity, and continuous improvement processes. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will develop and execute commercial quality processes for the design, test and manufacture of launch vehicles, spacecraft, and related technologies. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Responsibilities: Perform visual and dimensional inspections of internal flight hardware. As needed, support the review and inspection of supplier related hardware Document First Article Inspection Reports for internally produced hardware Support and manage the nonconforming material segregation cages (Material Review Areas) Provide training and/or assistance to other team members in the use of quality procedures and/or tools Conduct process health assessments and internal audits for compliance with industry standards and provide ongoing objective evaluations of processes and documentation Conduct follow-up and compliance audits to ensure process improvement and corrective / preventive action implementation and effectiveness Provide Quality support to back shops, which include but not limited to Tube Shop, Sub-Assemblies, Fluids, and Additive Manufacturing Qualifications: 5 years’ industry experience in an aviation/aerospace manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a quality assurance role 2 years of quality inspection experience Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation preferred Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs; advanced level Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
