The Role

The Marketing team is responsible for growing the Blue Owl brand and driving assets into key commercial products. Our goal is to raise the firm’s visibility and obtain and retain clients, using our global marketing and communications platform to address all investment strategies, regions, and client channels. We seek to deliver the most effective, innovative, and scalable ways to express the traits that set Blue Owl apart.

We are seeking a collaborative and results-oriented individual to join Blue Owl’s Corporate marketing team. Sitting at the intersection of branding and business strategy, Blue Owl’s Corporate Marketing team drives the creative stewardship, activation, and governance of firm-level marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic thinking and functional expertise to communicate Blue Owl’s value to both external and internal stakeholders.

This role will be a high-impact, entrepreneurial position, working alongside peers and senior leaders of the firm. Ideal candidates are team oriented, will thrive working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and enjoy working on cross-functional projects, taking an “all-hands-on-deck” approach.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and oversight marketing campaigns and brand management, both from a creative and business management perspective

  • Support design, development, and maintenance of external marketing collateral

  • Proactively identify new and different ways to bring our brand story to life across mediums and channels

  • Help build, manage and measure different marketing campaigns to build brand awareness

  • Leverage digital marketing and social media platforms to highlight key stakeholders, thought leadership and overall Blue Owl brand

  • Establish, refine, and provide continued oversight to global marketing workflows

  • Involvement with firm communications strategies and internal / external event programs

  • Work collaboratively across the firm to bring programs to life including investment teams, sales channels and other functional experts.

What We Are Looking For

  • A collaborative results oriented professional with strong project management skills. Candidates with backgrounds in alternative asset management or investment management preferred 

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; must be able to articulate complex concepts into the thoughtful execution of marketing strategies and initiatives

  • 5-8 years of relevant marketing experience, ideally including private markets experience

  • Enthusiastic about branding and marketing, with the goal of producing the highest quality end-result

  • Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and collaborative team-oriented disposition

  • Ability to assimilate to new experiences, learn quickly and absorb a steep growth curve

  • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail

  • Ambitious self-starter with ability to work independently, no task too big or too small

  • Sound judgement and ability to cut through noise to identify priorities

  • Adaptable and flexible as plans change

  • Resourceful, solutions-oriented problem-solver

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects and tasks and manage competing expectations

  • Strong working knowledge of Office Suite, with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $175 to $200k. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
