Are you passionate about sharing your expertise in sociology with eager college students? We are looking for a qualified instructor to become part of our Professional Studies and University Transfer faculty at Blue Ridge. As an in-person Lecturer for General Sociology, you will have the chance to teach college students and make an impact on students’ educational journey.
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Lecturer to teach SOCI 203 - General Sociology on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 12:15 p.m. in Martinsburg, WV.Duties include:

• Live instruction of General Sociology, 
• Syllabus customization, and
• Online attendance tracking and grade submission.

 Education

• Master's degree in Sociology or a closely related field, or 
• Master’s in any field with at least 18 credits of graduate level sociology courses.
• These degrees may also qualify: Social Work, Anthropology, Counseling, Human Relations, Education with the Social Studies Certificate.

Experience

• One year of teaching experience is preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Preference is given to applicants with experience in high school, community college, or university teaching as well as familiarity with the Blackboard platform.
