Blue Ridge Pediatrics LLP is Hiring a Full-time Medical Front Office Receptionist Near Raleigh, NC

Patient Care Receptionist

Busy pediatric office is seeking a Patient Care Receptionist with excellent customer service and medical office experience to join our team as the face of our practice.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet patients and guests when they enter the office
  • Answer calls, route calls to appropriate department, and schedule appointments. Set up patient recall alerts as needed.
  • Check in and check out all patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Verify and update patient demographics and forms. Verify insurance utilizing the EMR system.
  • Collect copays and past due balances.
  • Assisting with translation of our Spanish-speaking patients.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, providers, and staff.
  • Prepare the following day's provider paperwork.
  • Handle patient concerns with compassion and empathy, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Front office opening duties to prepare for the day
  • Front office closing duties to balance financials and print necessary reports.
  • Help keep the front office and lobby clean.
  • Other administrative duties as required.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years previous experience in a medical office required.
  • Previous experience with EMRs, specifically eClinicalworks strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task required.
  • Excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients and coworkers required.
  • Bilingual is a plus!

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
