Medical Receptionist

Our client is a leading healthcare facility dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality medical services to our patients.

Their team of healthcare professionals are committed to improving the health and well-being of their community. They are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join their team and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will play a key role in creating a positive and welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks.

The Medical Receptionist will work closely with healthcare providers, support staff, and patients to ensure a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.

Note : This role requires one, half-Saturday shift per month.

Focus :

  • Patient Check-In / Out : Greet, verify, and assist with check-in / out, schedule follow-ups, and collect payments.
  • Appointment Scheduling : Coordinate patient appointments, maintain accurate records.
  • Communication : Handle phone calls and emails, assist with inquiries and scheduling.
  • Insurance Verification : Verify insurance, explain coverage, assist with referrals.
  • Records Management : Maintain and secure patient records, ensure compliance.
  • Payment Processing : Handle financial transactions accurately.
  • Patient Comfort : Maintain a welcoming waiting area.
  • Coordination : Collaborate with staff for efficient patient flow, follow protocols for emergencies and compliance.

Skill Set

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in a medical office or dermatology setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
