They’re looking to hire a Controller to oversee and direct the accounting and financial activities of this rapidly growing healthcare services company.

The Controller will supervise the daily functions of the accounting department. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in financial reporting with compliance certificates for lenders, budgeting processes, and monthly closing procedures.

Focus:

• Oversee accounting personnel on tasks such as cash disbursements and receipts, accounts payable/receivable processes, month-end payroll summaries, journal entries, and adjustments to the general ledger.
• Take ownership and supervise the completion of all financial records and procedures.
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in accordance with US GAAP (both private and public accounting standards).
• Record, organize, and generate reports regarding corporate checking accounts and invoices.
• Identify, research, and resolve technical accounting issues.
• Formulate policies and procedures to improve internal controls, compliance, and efficiency.
• Spearhead projects to improve processes and develop automation strategies.
• Recruit, supervise, coach, and develop accounting staff members.
• Perform other assigned accounting, finance, or administrative tasks as required.

Skill Set:

• Thorough work experience in the fields of finance and/or accounting in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software systems. Experience with Great Plains, QuickBooks, and MS Sequel are a plus.
• Expertise with computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP).
• In-depth understanding of consolidated and combined statements.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple endeavors simultaneously.
• A self-motivated team player willing to take on additional responsibilities to reach business needs and goals.
