Director of Sales

Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing specialty LED lighting and controls company, is seeking a seasoned professional for the role of Director of Sales. With a strong commitment to innovation and excellence, our client leads the way in delivering advanced lighting solutions.

As the Director of Sales, you will be crucial in propelling sales growth and ensuring exceptional customer engagement in the evolving LED lighting sector. Your proficiency in sales, leadership, and customer relationships will be key to enhancing our client's market influence.

Focus:

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue and market expansion.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their specific lighting requirements.
• Utilize your expertise in the lighting industry to steer sales initiatives and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Oversee customer relations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of inquiries and concerns.
• Optimize sales processes and enhance customer experiences using CRM tools, particularly Salesforce.com.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor's degree. Advanced degrees or certifications in business administration, industrial distribution, architectural engineering, lighting science, or theatre are a plus.
• Proven experience (5-7 years) in a sales leadership role, preferably as a Vice-President or Director of Sales.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong organizational and team management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with CRM systems, with a preference for Salesforce.com proficiency.
• Ability to sell technical products based on features and service rather than price.
• Channel Sales/ Partner Sales experience preferred
