The Senior Accounting Manager/Controller plays a crucial role in supporting the company’s financial leadership, by managing a wide array of accounting functions. This includes but is not limited to, monthly financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting assistance, accounts payable oversight, and payroll support. This position also plays a pivotal role in financial and regulatory compliance, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a strong background in accounting practices, and the ability to contribute to the financial strategic planning.

Focus:

• Implement and uphold financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage financial data recording, analysis, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in general ledger and financial statement preparation.
• Conduct in-depth analyses to support various business functions and contribute to strategic planning.
• Oversee monthly financial close processes, including account reviews and reconciliations.
• Direct the preparation of external financial reports and lead daily liquidity management efforts.
• Collaborate with the CFO on special projects and initiatives aimed at improving departmental efficiency and financial procedures.
• Facilitate the integration and maintenance of effective accounting systems in line with GAAP, tax obligations, and managerial reporting needs.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and adhere to all regulatory compliance requirements.
• Perform additional tasks as necessitated by the role.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Prior experience in the banking sector is highly regarded.
• Capacity to prioritize understanding the intricacies of the business before proposing changes.
• Adept at managing complex accounting activities for multiple entities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
