BlueForce Inc. is seeking for a Medical Senior Specialty Trainer in support of the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) in Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and other African countries. There are Specialty Trainer positions for candidates having a minimum of 5 years of technical experience. Training schedule will be determined by the US Government ranging between 2-25 weeks a year.

GPOI is a U.S. Department of State security assistance program focused on building international peacekeeping capacity worldwide in close collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). The GPOI program’s mission is to strengthen the effectiveness of the United Nations (UN) and regional peace operations by enhancing partner countries’ capacities to prepare, deploy, and sustain peacekeepers and reinforcing UN and regional organizations’ performance and accountability frameworks. State’s Bureau of Political Military Affairs, Office of Global Programs and Initiatives, Peace Operations Capacity Building Division (PM/GPI/POCB) serves as the GPOI Program Office. 
The Medical Senior Specialty Trainer shall be one of the principal trainers conducting specialized training related contract requirements. The candidate shall have a minimum of 10 years of specialized experience which includes a relevant blend of military skills, experience, knowledge, and current certifications that will enable that individual to successfully train specific task performance objectives. 
The Specialty Trainer shall support the Senior Specialty Trainer in the conduct of all specialized training related to contract requirements. The candidate shall have a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of ten (10) years U.S. or foreign military medical occupational specialty experience, including service after September 11, 2001.
• Minimum certification in Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Prehospital Trauma Life Support, paramedic, or other recognized pre-hospital medical certification which demonstrates expertise in advanced tactical medicine.
• Experience in Field Med Assistant Course, Buddy First Aid Course, Combat Lifesaver, Buddy First Aid.
• Relevant military/tactical medicine experience (operations or training, including civilian) in the last 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluent in French (FSI 3/3 Professional Working Proficiency).
• Experience working in a trauma hospital or conducting triage operations during a military or peacekeeping operation.
• Experience as a trainer to a foreign security partner, military or civilian.
• Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa.
