Job DescriptionConstruction EstimatorCompany Overview:We are a commercial general contractor seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. The Estimator is responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating, daily construction management activities. This position functions from the main office; and will require site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with Estimating Coordinator to manage bid submissions
  • Interpret bid documents and create comprehensive scope of work summaries
  • Prepare takeoffs as necessary based on project needs
  • Manage minority business goals, wage scale requirements, and bid alternates
  • Represent Estimating Department for preconstruction, budgeting, and value engineering on larger projects
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience estimating for a commercial general contractor
  • Experience with school and public municipality projects is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
