Job DescriptionSummary: The Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring the separation equipment runs properly in order to meet company production and quality goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain separation equipment through preventative maintenance procedures and general cleaning/upkeep.
- Evaluate product quality to ensure it meets company standards.
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment and repair or provide insight for needed repairs.
- Inspect materials and sort items into designated areas.
- Ensure proper PPE is utilized and follow all safety policies.
- Perform general housekeeping cleaning duties.
- Dump boxes and containers of material into designated area(s).
- Utilize a forklift to move material.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification.
- Exhibit the ability to distinguish between various recyclable materials.
- Self-starter, aggressive work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Safety conscious.
- Must be flexible to work any shift and/or to adjust shift when necessary.
- Ability to work overtime and/or weekends.
- Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to weather elements.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, lift, push, pull, kneel, climb, and work in awkward positions and tight areas.
