Job DescriptionSummary: The Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring the separation equipment runs properly in order to meet company production and quality goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain separation equipment through preventative maintenance procedures and general cleaning/upkeep.
  • Evaluate product quality to ensure it meets company standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues with equipment and repair or provide insight for needed repairs.
  • Inspect materials and sort items into designated areas.
  • Ensure proper PPE is utilized and follow all safety policies.
  • Perform general housekeeping cleaning duties.
  • Dump boxes and containers of material into designated area(s).
  • Utilize a forklift to move material.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Exhibit the ability to distinguish between various recyclable materials.
  • Self-starter, aggressive work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift and/or to adjust shift when necessary.
  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekends.
  • Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to weather elements.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, lift, push, pull, kneel, climb, and work in awkward positions and tight areas.
