Description

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager will provide 
exceptional interpersonal skills and provides support to all levels of the enterprise workforce in 
support of the Tribe's vision, mission, and values. The Human Resources Manager will manage and 
oversee the HR Department in the absence of the Director of Human Resources. Will assist in 
overseeing daily operations with Human Resources Generalist and employee training.
Responsible for employee retention, engagement, training coordination, and labor relations; 
will organize employee training sessions and maintain up-to-date certifications and files. This 
the role will collaborate with all Operations, Compliance, and Admin. teams to provide the best 
possible team member experience. Responsible for managing an organization's Human 
Resources, including developing and implementing employee relations, programs, and practices and 
evaluating their effectiveness.
The Human Resources Manager will promote a positive employee culture, lead others in 
adopting a coaching and development mindset while consistently role-modeling our desired 
behaviors. This role will require a "hands-on" approach, one that understands that
effective department, leader, and employee partnerships begin with building relationships
and being approachable and accessible to their team.
Working independently and with a team, the Human Resources Manager will assist the Director of
Human Resources in providing accurate and timely HR information to casino leadership, 
ensuring priorities are aligned with objectives, work cultures, legal requirements, and
HR programs/policies. The Human Resources Manager promotes open communication at all levels to
resolve issues positively while promoting and maintaining the integrity of the team 
members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Schedule new employee orientation sessions to explain the BWRC Employee Handbook and 
policies.
Schedules and delivers Title 31 Training in conformance with BSA requirements.
Designs, schedules, and delivers practical training programs as needed by Department 
Directors/Managers.
Schedules employee training and keeps accurate training files.

Assists in maintaining and updating job requirements and job descriptions for all casino
gaming facilities.
Assist organization staff by establishing a recruiting, pre-employment testing, and 
interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and assisting 
in exit interviews and recommending changes.
Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training 
managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; 
hearing and resolving employee grievances, and counseling employees and supervisors.
Assisting employee benefits programs and informing employees of benefits by studying and
assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management;
directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract
bids, awarding benefit contracts, and designing and conducting educational programs on 
benefit programs.
Assist in historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and 
keeping past and current records.
Keep updated on educational workshops, review professional publications, and 
establish personal networks.
Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning 
employees and following up on work results.
Assist the Director of Human Resources by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training 
employees.
Assist with overseeing employee appreciation by developing rewards programs, service awards
programs, to include tracking of programs and cost analysis of employee recognition 
programs.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. degree in HR Management or HR Certification (Society of Human Resources 
Management or Tribal Human Resources Professional), education or related field; 
equivalent combination of education. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources or experience working with Training 
programs are required.
Meticulous to details and attention to detail.

Strong administrative skills.

Self-starter and adaptable to change.
