Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
- Restock bar supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for customers
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of retail math, basic math, and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and drink preparation
- Familiarity with different types of alcoholic beverages, brewing methods, and cocktail recipes is a plus
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (e.g., kegs)
- Must be at least 21 years old (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction)
- Food handling certification may be required depending on local regulations
