Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Location: Rock Hill, SC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts

Job Overview: The RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing and coordinating patient care, educating patients and the public about various health conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patients' family members. The PCU RN will work closely with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate patient recovery.
• Perform diagnostic tests and analyze results to guide treatment decisions.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, post-treatment home care needs, diet, and exercise.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocols.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Ensure patient safety and implement appropriate measures to prevent adverse events.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in South Carolina or compact state license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU experience.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably EPIC.
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $56.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
