We are seeking a Director of Finance to spearhead and champion our staff accountant team. In this pivotal role, you will take the lead in financial reporting and general ledger structure, ensuring timely closings, providing support for audits, overseeing compliance, and optimizing accounting procedures.

What You’ll Be Doing.

• Overseeing and maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closings. 
• Supporting the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assisting in finalizing internal and external audits in a timely manner.
• Managing other compliance requirements, including internal controls and group risk reporting.
• Supporting the financial integration of acquisition and business combinations.
• Monitoring and analyzing accounting team responsibilities and results to develop more efficient procedures and optimize resource utilization while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Managing staff accountant team by:
  • Advising staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Providing training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Addressing personnel issues to foster a positive work environment.
  • Collaborating with direct reports to establish and monitor annual goals, advising them on progress to enhance professional development.
• Supporting Finance Management with special projects and workflow process improvements.
• Addressing inquiries from other department leads and teams, including foreign affiliates.
• Serving as primary contact for shared service functions by:
  • Assisting AP team with various AP requirements, including providing correct invoice coding and releasing manual wires.
  • Acting as an internal intermediary contact for follow up questions regarding open AP issues.
  • Supporting GA team on general accounting queries, including reporting procedures, review booking instructions, and providing GA coding.

Must-Haves.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with a concentration in Accounting.
• Demonstrated experience in financial accounting, with a track record of success in a supervisory role.
• Background in public accounting.
• Exceptional interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves.

• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Experience with IFRS and SAP FI.
• Previous experience working within an international corporate structure.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range

$110,000 - $125,000 per annum

The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
