As a member of our agile communications team, you will be responsible for effectively communicating and amplifying the mission, work, and impact of the BMW Foundation.

We are looking to hire an experienced, full-time employee (m/f/x) for our communications team, focusing on foundation narratives and media relations. This position is based in either Munich or Berlin.

Your tasks – What we are looking for

• Developing compelling Foundation communications topics and narratives for all channels, especially social media and digital platforms.
• Collaborating with the team and an external agency to develop a communications and PR strategy that is strategically focused on issues and agenda setting in premier international media.
• Processing press inquiries, assisting in conducting interviews in English and German, drafting press releases and monitoring relevant reports and media coverage.
• Managing change and crisis communications effectively.
• Collaborating with agencies, content creators, journalists, and designers.
• Supporting the Foundation's team in communication matters such as project-based elements, digital communications, and content creation.
• Participating in our leadership programs and events, providing on-site communication support for our content creators.

Your profile – What you contribute

• You have successfully completed relevant studies (M.A. or equivalent) in a field such as journalism, communication, design, or public relations.
• You have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in marketing, corporate communications, or public relations.
• You have a strong interest in sustainable and financial topics related to social impact.
• You possess excellent communication skills and have a hands-on mentality, self-reflectiveness and an open-minded approach.
• You approach topics such as equity, diversity, belonging, and intercultural cooperation with curiosity and are committed to learning and growing together with us.
• You are self-organized and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with various deadlines and priorities.
• You have experience with the Microsoft 365, and if possible, with Sprout (or similar Social Media tools), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Trello. We also use Slack and Teams.
• Ideally, you are an English native speaker or fluent in both written and oral German and English, as we communicate our strategically aligned BFHQ narratives in both languages.
