Job Description:
We are looking for a Communications and Media Coordinator to join our team for an exciting San Francisco ballot measure campaign. This role is crucial for driving media strategy, engaging with the press, and leveraging social media to build support and awareness for the ballot measure. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get more involved in political campaigns in the Bay Area, especially if you are passionate about the community's future and have a knack for media engagement.
A good candidate for this role has experience working with the press, drafting press releases, and responding to media inquiries. You should also be skilled in social media, particularly TikTok and Instagram, and experienced in developing media strategies. Familiarity with San Francisco politics is a plus. You must be creative, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including small business owners and merchant organizations.
This is a terrific opportunity to get an inside look at how a political campaign is structured and to work with experienced campaign professionals. The position requires a hybrid work environment, so candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and available for some on-site work. This role will begin immediately and terminate after the November 2024 election.

Qualifications:
A strong ability to communicate, motivational skills, and an excellent work ethic are key to success in this role. You must have experience working with the press and media, have social media skills, particularly on TikTok and Instagram and have the ability to handle the pressure of an election cycle. Strong self-direction and the ability to take initiative are also necessary qualifications, alongside the ability to admit when you don’t understand a direction or how to achieve a goal. Previous campaign experience is required.
*Must be comfortable with an in-person/remote work hybrid. Must also have the ability to be present in the district and with the campaign regularly.
