We are seeking an associate level Scrum Master to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA for a 8-month contract to hire opportunity! If you have 2 years of experience acting as a Scrum Master for a software development team in an agile environment, please apply today!

- Guiding the team and organization in the application of Agile/Scrum practices and values to enhance customer satisfaction
- Helping the team self-organize to address the gaps intentionally left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Assessing and improving the Scrum maturity of the team and organization at a sustainable and comfortable pace
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to find the right personnel to remove them
- Creating a trusting and safe environment where issues can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment, with a focus on healing and problem-solving
- Facilitating task completion without coercion, assignment, or dictation
- Facilitating discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution
- Assisting with internal and external communication to improve transparency and information sharing
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, particularly in grooming and maintaining the product backlog
- Providing support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example
- Previous experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team, diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Proficient in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for addressing intentional gaps in the Scrum framework (e.g., Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, bug handling)
- Familiarity with other Agile methodologies, such as XP, Kanban, Crystal, and FDD
- Experience with widely successful Agile techniques, including User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games
- Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
- Previous managerial experience with excellent communication and mentoring skills
