Vice President, Transfer Agency/Fund Administration Manager I

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Fund Administration Manager I, to join our EMEA Transfer Agency team. This role is located in Chennai, TN - HYBRID.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Manages a medium to large size team or multiple small teams that are responsible for conducting transfer agency operations activities on behalf of assigned clients. 
  • Leads team members in providing support to major clients in addressing and resolving complex operational and technical issues and ensuring requests are executed. 
  • Manages the performance of teams and sets area of priorities.
  • Manages relationships with assigned clients and resolves any escalated issues related to fund transactions and reporting.
  • Develops and manages processes and provides guidance to teams managed to ensure that new client onboarding is successful and master records are maintained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensures clients are in compliance with IRS regulatory standards. 
  • Works with external clients to resolve the most complex day-to-day issues and direct them to appropriate resources at BNY Mellon.
  • Applies advanced problem-solving skills, judgement, and experience to analyze information.
  • Serves as the escalation point for issues regarding client profiles, keeping leadership apprised of potential areas of concern.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 8-10 years of total work experience with at least 2-3 years of management experience preferred. 
  • Experience in transfer agency operations preferred. 
  • Dynamic Leadership and interpersonal skills required.
  • Knowledge of Digital/AI tools viz: Power BI, Baseline, Alteryx, RPA etc. is preferred.
