Overview:

Boar’s Head Brand®, the premier provider of quality delicatessen products and services is currently seeking a Human Resources Leader. This position is responsible for leading and managing global HR initiatives for multiple locations within both union and non-union environments and will supervise all facility level Human Resource Managers. Working directly with the organization’s Executive Team with a heavy emphasis on execution, leadership and communication, this position plays a critical role in building a culture that attracts, retains and develops the people and policies that drive success in the business. The Human Resources Leader provides advice and counsel to managers, supervisors and employees and maintains positive relations through daily interaction with all levels of the organization. The HR Leader is responsible for the development and maintenance of all policies and procedures as well as the management and oversight of HR strategies including but not limited to: succession planning, union negotiations/ avoidance, high potential employee development, recruiting, employee grievances, compensation, benefits and compliance.

Job Description:

Essential Functions

• Develops and maintains HR policies and procedures
• Supervises all plant level HR Managers
• Leads Company’s Succession Plan
• Oversees Organizational Development
• Manages compensation and benefits programs
• Oversees recruitment function
• Manages employee grievances
• Oversees disciplinary functions and/or terminations
• Other duties as assigned
• Travel- Must be able to travel (domestic) up to 50%

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred)
• 10- 15 years of progressive HR experience, minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
• Manufacturing industry experience required
• Union avoidance/negotiations
• PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
• Strong leadership and team building skills
• Must have a demonstrated ability to implement and execute new initiatives
• Prefer candidates from: food industry, consumer product goods, retail and hospitality

Language Skills

• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Be able to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership and employees.

Reasoning Ability

• Strong deductive reasoning skills and persuasive negotiation skill set.
