Cypress Landing Golf Course, located in Chocowinity, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for a 2nd Assistant Golf Professional Cypress Landing Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course designed by Bill Love with Ault, Clark & Associates that is a certified Audubon sanctuary. Over the years, it has maintained a 4 Star Rating from Golf Digest and garnered recognition from the USGA and the Carolina Golf Association. A beautifully maintained course, a friendly atmosphere, and year-round competitive and social activities make it a favorite in the area.

Responsibilities of the 2nd Assistant Golf Professional at Cypress Landing Golf Course include:

• Has the ability to complete an accurate inventory count each month and has a firm understanding of cost of goods sold.
• Assists with a monthly golf staff meeting that covers training, customer service, progress since the prior month, and basic financials that pertains to the entire golf department.
• Assists the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting, and directing all golf activities.
• Develops merchandise sales and promotions during holidays, specials events, and times when sales are slow.
• Orders supplies for the golf shop as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
• Plays golf with members to ensure enthusiasm for the game.
• Understands how to use the point of sales system.
• Assists the Head Golf Professional with all tournament operations.
• Maintains all logs (comp, rain check, monthly range, etc.).

Required Skills

The 2nd Assistant Golf Professional of a Bobby Jones Links club must have the following skills:

• Willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.
• Understanding of Club Financials.
• Must have a thorough working knowledge of the club’s golf operation.
• Golf Genius experience a plus.

• Walk and or stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
