• Identify customer needs. Search for customer parts using parts catalog.
• Place daily customer and service department parts orders.
• Stock and receive incoming parts orders.
• Assist in processing weekly stock orders.
• Notify customers when ordered parts arrive.
• Serve as back-up for parts manager for inventory functions.
• Provide necessary information to the warranty department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties.
• Ensure that credits are received from vendor for parts returned to the vendor.
• Return parts as needed and remove from inventory after credit is received.
• Return cores to vendor in a timely manner and follow up for receipt of credit.
• Match purchase orders and invoices, approves, and forwards to accounting office.
• File company copies of parts counter invoices.
• Assist in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory.
• Assist with parts department telephone coverage.
• Keep parts area clean and uncluttered.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Other tasks as assigned.
