Responsibilities:

• Excellent employment opportunity for a Science II in the Ridgefield, CT area.
• The Immunology & Respiratory Diseases Department seeks a Scientist II to join our Protein Biomarker Team.
• The research team supports protein biomarker discovery by applying immunoassays, cell culture, and flow cytometry.
• The group utilizes innovative technology to evaluate and characterize patient cohorts for novel disease insights and new therapeutic modalities while delivering validated Phase I Clinical biomarker assays.
• The successful applicant will: perform lab duties initially under supervision; participate/assist in the execution of routine and non-routine experiments.
• The candidate will initiate, operate, and complete lab experiments and operate and be responsible for using lab equipment.
• The candidate will communicate their work orally and in writing, provide input for scientific reports, and treat data with high integrity and ethics.
• The candidate will comply with all applicable regulations, safely perform all work, and maintain proper records following SOPs and policies.

Experience:

• The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of Research experience in a Biology laboratory setting or a Master's degree in a relevant Scientific area, e.g., Immunology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Medical laboratory science.
• Basic lab experience in a biology laboratory
• Experience with ELISA
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment and apparatus
• Agile in learning innovative technology and concepts
• Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and information
• Ability to troubleshoot Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in an immunology/biochemistry lab environment is desirable
