To learn more visit becu.org/careers. PAY RANGE The Target Pay Range for this position is $33.17-$40.53 hourly. The full Pay Range is $25.77-$47.93 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role. Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE: As a Financial Accountant at BECU, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, analyzing, and reconciling various member-related transactional accounts. Your diligence and attention to detail will ensure the proper recording and documentation of financial transactions, contributing directly to the accuracy and integrity of BECU's financial records. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Maintain Transactional Accounts: Keep a close eye on member-related transactional accounts by conducting research and analysis necessary to resolve discrepancies. Collaborate and Resolve: Engage with credit union employees to collaboratively and swiftly resolve reconciling items, leveraging teamwork to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Prepare Financial Documentation: Take the lead in preparing timely daily and month-end journal entries and supporting documentation, providing clear records of transactional activities. Analyze Financial Data: Dive into financial data, collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting on it, contributing to accurate and reliable financial insights. Facilitate Month-End Process: Participate in the month-end and year-end close process, analyzing general ledger account activity, and providing valuable commentary on month-over-month trends. Support Accounting Operations: Contribute to organizational efforts impacting accounting processes, potentially including system testing and upgrades. Develop Expertise: Maintain a thorough knowledge of credit union processes that impact general ledger accounts, becoming a go-to expert in your field. Provide Accounting Support: Extend timely and effective accounting support to other business units within the organization, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Prepare Reports: Generate various reports and schedules to support year-end audits and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Utilize Data Tools: Develop and maintain a working knowledge of data tools and enterprise systems to effectively and efficiently analyze data. This isn’t just about ticking off tasks on a list.
