Primary Skills, Abilities, and Responsibilities:

  • Provides pricing and promotional recommendations and solutions for business decisions using transactional data and advanced trend analysis.
  • Evaluates and measures department key performance indicators to provide pricing and promotional recommendations to Category Managers.
  • Create new tools and capabilities to manage inventory and pricing initiatives across the organization.
  • Create the 12-month rolling promotional forecast utilizing historical data, current trends, and statistical models to facilitate the agreement of a consensus business plan.
  • Prepare promotional order guide for operations prior to every ordering period, by comparing multiple cost offerings across multiple suppliers.
  • Execute retail price update decisions based on cost updates and departmental margin targets.
  • Support the annual financial plan and budgeting process. Providing risks and opportunities when needed.
  • Tracking and reporting of KPIs and objectives, being able to present KPIs, Product Reviews, forecasts, etc. to Leadership team.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain dashboard reporting to support a continuous improvement of the supply chain based on metric driven decisions.
  • Conduct SKU analysis to create line architecture targets for endcaps and buy-in areas for the Category and Marketing team each promotional period.

Qualifications


Knowledge and Soft Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain or other related field.
  • Minimum 5 year of experience in Demand Planning Forecasting / Analytics function (CPG preferred).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; able to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, analytics and Sales & Operations Planning with the ability to adopt a growth mindset with continuous improvement.
  • Must be proficient in toggling between the minute details and the high-level perspective with the ability to interpret and communicate the impact to the business.
  • Knowledge of vendor sources, products and purchasing procedures.
  • Knowledge of cost analysis, margin blending and competitive retail pricing techniques.
  • Able to document work in progress.
  • Strong records maintenance skills.
  • Proven successful track record on cross-functional team projects, including leading teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with attention to accuracy.
  • Demonstrate strong aptitude in analysis, root causes identification, and problem solving.
