Responsibilities

• Become proficient in sales and service aspects of the Wine/Beer Department
• Act as lead for employees in Department; assign tasks, coordinate breaks and train employees
• Exhibit passion for providing excellent customer service
• Receive and stock products using department guidelines for merchandising, rotation, and pricing
• Educate our customers about beers and wines
• Assist with special events and other duties as assigned
• Practice behaviors that exhibit a strong work ethic and encourage teamwork

Qualifications

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Previous leadership experience, a plus
• Solid knowledge of beers and of wines as well as current trends 
• Strong sales experience and ability to reach goals and up sell
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite
• Strong work ethic that motivates staff and encourages teamwork
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

Environment: Work is performed primarily in a wine bar setting with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions.

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
