Position Description

BTC currently has an opportunity for a full time Nursing Faculty. This position is responsible for providing course instruction of Adult MS based courses within our Professional (RN) program. We offer a great schedule and supportive team. Come work with motivated leaders and teammates who believe in advancing the profession of nursing through excellence in nursing and education begins with supporting its faculty.

Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

· Implement curriculum through lectures, study materials, assessments, and lab practicums

· Communicate complex information to students in a simplified manner

· Assist in the development and selection of resources for instruction

· Provide individual student academic advisement, tutoring, and counseling

· Maintain student performance records

· Manage students at clinical sites

· Maintain office hours sufficient to meet the needs of the program and other faculty, staff, and administration

· Participate and attend graduation ceremonies

· Serve on faculty meetings and committee meetings as required

· Additional related duties as requested

Position Skills and Requirements

Requirements for the position include a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN); MSN preferred. 2 years of nursing experience are preferred. Prior teaching experience is desirable. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in basic computer skills.
