Bolton & Menk is Hiring an IT Support Technician Near Raleigh, NC

What You Will Be Doing
- Work with end users to identify and deliver required service levels.
- Construct, install, configure, test and maintain customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems.
- Collaborate with support technicians and specialists to ensure efficient operation of the company’s computing environment.
- Monitor and maintain on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
- Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future systems needs.
- Support implementation of new projects and new installations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware, software and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
- If necessary, liaise with third-party support and vendors.
- Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executables, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related computer field or 3 years relevant work experience.
- Excellent technical knowledge of network, software systems and PC hardware and software.
- Hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting experience.
- Extensive equipment support experience.
- Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
- Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
- Excellent technical understanding and data processing skills. .
- Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective administrative skills.
- Effective prioritization and conflict resolution skills.
- Possess a valid driver's licenses and reliable transportation as travel to various job sites may be required.
