Job SummaryThe Regional Sustainability Coordinator will implement and manage programming supporting Bon Appétit Management Company’s sustainability commitments in the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic regions. This position is tasked with cultivating community around Bon Appétit's sustainability ethos, driving client and guest satisfaction, and championing environmentally and socially responsible practices. This role is vital in supporting Bon Appétit accounts across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions to elevate their sustainability efforts through collaboration with culinary teams, client stakeholders, and industry partners. The position is hybrid remote and onsite work at accounts in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, with up to 30% of time spent traveling. MAJOR DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS: Community Building: This role will be at the forefront of fostering a sense of community through sustainability initiatives, engaging both internal teams and client stakeholders to amplify Bon Appétit's dream. Thought Leadership: Elevate Bon Appétit at regional conferences, showcasing our pioneering sustainability initiatives. Collaborate on grants and initiatives with industry partners, further establishing Bon Appetit’s industry presence. Client Partnership: Serve as a strategic partner to clients, guiding them towards achieving their sustainability goals. Utilize sustainability expertise in implementing actionable strategies to enhance the social and environmental impact of operations. Maintain awareness of emerging sustainability concepts and food service industry trends, and translate learnings into operational actions. Cross-functional Collaboration: Function as a liaison between clients, onsite teams, regional leadership, and corporate team stakeholders to share insights, pilot new programs, and develop new resources. Drive the development of innovative programs and resources. Support expanded use of tracking and reporting tools across (Food Standards Dashboard, Waste Not), to ensure that accounts meet internal and client sustainability goals. Pitch, develop, manage, and track new and ongoing projects for client accounts, on a project basis; clearly and effectively communicate results to client and operational teams. Guest Engagement: Connect with our client and guest communities to deepen their understanding of our initiatives and accelerate collaboration towards shared goals.
