Position Title: Machine Operator

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Machine Operators job is to set up, maintain, and operate production machinery in an efficient manner. This position requires great attention to detail and safety standards. This position will require on the job training to learn the different types of production machinery. Control and adjustment machine setting as required to maintain product specification as needed. May also require loading raw material into machine for production. As changes are made it is required that the Machine Operator maintain activity logs so changes can be documented if permanent change is required. Following all health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operating equipment in a safe and productive manner.

• Required to track downtime.

• Communicate with maintenance any reoccurring equipment issues.

• Work with QC tech to continually adjust equipment setpoints if need to maintain customer specification.

• Required to assistant maintenance when working on equipment.

Qualifications:

• 2-year experience is operating desire but not required.

• Mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

• Able to work flexible, extended hours and weekends as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.

• Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.

• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• At least one year of related experience required.

• Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
