Compensation

The listed range for this position is $160,000-$230,000 but the actual package offered may vary depending on different factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation for this position would include other elements which include a yearly bonus.

About this job:

We are hiring a Director of Albertsons to help us grow this important market. This critical leader will help build and develop our Albertsons (Corp 12 Divisions) business with a focus on several strategic customers. This role will have strong cross-functional collaboration with marketing, product development, agricultural operations, production and category management teams.

We’re looking for a gifted salesperson, who has strength in communication, collaboration and fact-based selling, and enjoys fast-paced growth, is comfortable with change and ambiguity, has a flexible growth mindset, and is excited about helping us grow the Bonduelle Fresh Americas brand.

This role will report into the Senior Vice President, Retail Sales - West and will work closely with the Retail Sales team and numerous cross-functional teams within the company. This role will ideally be located in Southern CA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to travel and call on all 12 Albertsons divisions across the country
  • Penetrate and grow strategic partnership with Albertsons Corp and Own Brands team
  • Serve as strategic partner to our customers with a focus on elevating our presence at senior levels and building strong relationships and trust with key stakeholders
  • Develop sales and business plans to drive company profit and share growth across key customers
  • Manage both branded and Private Label businesses successfully
  • Lead and have accountability for forecasting and business planning activities that establish budget, volume, and profit targets, across key customers and product categories
  • Execute against RFP’s when surfaced to maintain and grow our collective business
  • Strength in strategic fact-based selling, insights and category management
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve key milestones across pricing, promotion, new product development and operational efficiencies
  • Manage broker network where applicable
  • Expectation is this position will be in the 60% visiting customers and rest coordination internal projects

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Extensive experience (10 years), preferably in short shelf life categories, in both branded and private label businesses, managing strategic and/or national accounts
  • Experience in (re)shaping the sales model and approach at a dynamic and growing CPG company
  • Demonstrate exceptional financial acumen
  • Demonstrated ability and extensive experience working with high performance teams and working collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Are adept at managing multiple priorities across the customer landscape

Who you’ll work with

  • This role will partner with the key functions across our company, including, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, Insights and Category Management and Sales Leadership.
  • You’ll work closely with the SVP East and will interact regularly with our Leadership and Sales team across the organization.

Key contributions in the first year

  • Build out a detailed sales strategic plan to deliver against key customer targets and KPI’s in the FY ‘24 year
  • Sell in FY ‘24 new innovation with 70% of customer acceptance in first 12 weeks of launch
  • Successfully anticipate, plan and secure RFP bids, securing existing business while winning upside
  • Identify new customer opportunities and build a bridge to a successful sell in with the fiscal year
  • Develop clear strategy and execution plan, with clear KPI’s with our broker community
