Industrial Engineer Job Description
Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Overview: A leading development company based in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, managing over 46 million square feet of commercial and industrial space across four states. Our diverse portfolio includes office, manufacturing, warehouse, and retail spaces. We are seeking a dynamic Industrial Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with tenants and property users to optimize their space layouts, enhancing productivity and efficiency to support business growth.
Purpose: Why does a commercial real estate firm need an Industrial Engineer? For nearly a decade, we have distinguished ourselves in the industry by leveraging engineers to add value to traditionally transactional processes. In this role, you will meet with clients (Industrial, Manufacturing, Distribution) to understand their process workflows and create layout designs for our available units.
Responsibilities:

• Utilize structured problem-solving skills to develop strategies and designs that improve quality and efficiency for end-users.
• Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and equipment layout to maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively in person and virtually with a multidisciplinary team, including sales, engineering, environmental, construction management, and marketing.
• Assist end-users in planning manufacturing layouts that are safe, efficient, and ergonomically sound.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and ADA guidelines.
• Utilize CAD software to prepare plant layouts, office layouts, site drawings, and sketches (preferably in both 2D and 3D).

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with 2D/3D CAD tools is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
• Project management experience from concept origination through implementation is a plus.
• Understanding of warehouse management systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with team members and executive audiences.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
