Boom Entertainment is Hiring a Project Manager Near New York, NY

Boom has two main verticals, Sports Products and Casino Games.
Our Sports Products include Boom Fantasy, our very own Daily Fantasy Sports application bringing a quick and easy way for sports fans from any skill-level to join in the fun of DFS. With millions of dollars in winnings so far, Boom Fantasy is a rapidly growing success. We also build world-class free-to-play games and technology for our partners that have entertained more than 4 million sports fans.
Our Casino team is hard at work building a suite of eye-catching casino games for distribution to casino operators in the legal U.S. and international iGaming markets. This team is reimagining what's possible in gaming by focusing on innovative products powered by cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities:
  • You will work with clients and internal stakeholders to define project requirements and then manage your development team through the completion and delivery of the project
  • Own day-to-day management including daily standups, engineering/asset tickets, timelines, and project plan implementations
  • Manage operational aspects of a project to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and time
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
  • Analyze, plan, and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
  • Identify and report project risks to stakeholders, escalating issues as necessary
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Assist in the definition of the project scope and handle change management effectively
  • Lead, monitor, and motivate different teams across the company and interact with staff at all levels in the organization
  • Work with engineers, QA, and design to make sure they understand expectations and are unblocked with their work
  • Assist in the management, organization, and delivery of project assets.
  • Run sprint retros, daily stand-ups, engineering game kickoffs, and game review meetings.
  • Provide process improvement recommendations that are based on best practices and industry standards
Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in a Project Manager role
  • Comfort operating in an agile development framework and related software tools (Jira, Slack, etc.)
  • Experience with game development, and coordinating with technical art, design, and engineering teams
  • Slots or other casino games experience is preferred
  • Experience working with external vendors
  • Experience with Photoshop
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations
  • Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with external partners
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
  • Ability to focus and pay close attention to detail
Our target compensation for this position is between $67,000 and $86,000, depending on experience.
