Boone County Family Resources is Hiring a Human Resource Assistant Near Columbia, MO

Position Information: Boone County Family Resources is seeking a qualified candidate for the Full-Time position of Human Resources Assistant to work in a friendly and vibrant social services environment. Responsibilities include administrative support, payroll processing, onboarding, record keeping, and HRIS entry. Exceptional communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to organization, prioritization of tasks, and task completion are required in this position. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Enters, maintains, and processes information in the payroll system
  • Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to collect and file all required documents appropriately.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • Assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Have a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • At least one year of related experience is preferred

Schedule:

The Human Resource Assistant will work a 40-hour work week Monday through Friday. Once the introductory period is successfully completed, The Human Resource Assistant may have the opportunity to work a base schedule with some remote hours.

Salary: Starting at $18.41/hour. Eligible for merit-based raises at 6 months, 1 year, and annually thereafter.
