Booz Allen is Hiring a Travel Specialist Near Honolulu, HI

Travel Specialist

Key Role:

Execute the program’s plan, processes, and activities for contract travel on behalf of the government. Coordinate travel activities with program leaders, initiating quality, security, risk, and cost controls to maximize compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Train, mentor, and advise program personnel of travel processes and activities, providing resources and situational awareness concerning hazardous travel, travel restrictions and bans, and import and export controls. Perform as the program’s liaison to Booz Allen’s International Trade Compliance (ITC) Team. Support Program Management Office's geographically-dispersed team with significant OCONUS travel requirements. Work with program leadership, task leads and a diverse team of consultants to support overall travel requirements, including Travel Authorization Requests, Trip Reports, travel expense reporting and overall quality management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with data entry and database maintenance, data tracking and analysis, and reporting

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and work in a deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD), the Intelligence Community (IC), or FEDSIM programs

  • Experience submitting Travel Authorization Requests (TARs), Requests to Initiate Purchases (RIPs), and Trip Reports (TRs)

  • Knowledge of the FAR travel regulations and policies

  • Knowledge of U.S. import and export regulations and processes to comply with regulations or experience working with International Trade Compliance (ITC)

  • Possession of consulting skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with multiple stakeholders

  • Possession of strong time management and organizational skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
