Border Demolition and Environmental Inc. is Hiring an Account Receivable Manager - Construction Near El Paso, TX

Job DescriptionBorder Demolition and Environmental (BD&E) is one of the largest demolition and environmental remediation contractors in the Southwest. We are currently looking for a full time Contract Administrator / Construction Administrator. There will also be some proposal preparation required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Review contractual documents (terms and conditions) to ensure adherence to company policy, government, and contract specifications;
  • Development and submittal of contracts (when company serves as a Prime and/or a Subcontractor);
  • Responsible for contract administration to include: contract compliance, and other industry procedures;
  • Coordination with Project Manager/Estimator for proper job set up (phases, budgets, etc.) in Project Management software program;
  • Responsible for coordinating with Project Manager and customers for progress billings; Responsible for billing and collections;
  • Oversight of the day to day administration of contracts;
  • Coordination of weekly meeting agenda;
  • Compliance and oversight of company OSHA logs and oversight of company Work Comp claims;
  • Coordination and timely preparation (with Estimator) of bid proposals (primarily when company is acting as a “Prime”);
  • Problem solve when issues arise;
  • Assist in project close-out processes;
  • Interact, and maintain relationships with clients to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction;
  • Maintain a high degree of integrity, loyalty and honesty; not divulge to outside parties’ information of a confidential nature pertaining to the company’s operations or bids
Other Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all company personnel and fosters an environment of teamwork.
  • Maintains a professional image and appearance on a consistent basis.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business Administration or from 4-year college or university;
  • 5 years of experience in Construction administration;
  • STRONG COMMUNICATION SKILLS (both oral and written) when working with management, customers, employees, subcontractors, and other individuals;
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN HIGH PRESSURE SITUATIONS
  • Ability to define problems, collect and document data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of situations and events and respond accordingly. Ability to seek counsel, when needed and use a variety of resources;
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Must have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, a problem-solver, team player, and have a positive attitude;
  • Thorough and detail oriented;
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish);
  • Must be able to work extended days and workweeks when necessary
  • Must be able to travel when necessary (on occasion)
