Warehouse Manager - Shop

Job Summary

Leads and manages the operations, activities and employees of the Warehouse in providing services to our customers. Manages and oversees all activities associated with the Warehouse and Delivery areas.

Responsible for the security and maintenance of the building and grounds so the property is neat, safe and within BSE and government standards.

Ensures the supervisor manages their team effectively so the warehouse is run efficiently. Leads and manages the activities associated with our inventory process.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Leads and manages the operations, activities and employees of the Warehouse in providing services to our customers.
  • Responsible for the security and maintenance of the building and grounds so the property is neat, safe and within BSE and government standards.
  • Oversees the supervisor responsible for safety and maintenance of all warehouse equipment and vehicles in accordance with BSE, our vendors and / or any government standards.
  • Ensures the supervisor manages their team effectively so the warehouse is run efficiently.
  • Optimizes delivery routes for efficiency and being customer centric.

Non-essential Functions

  • Leads and manages the activities associated with our inventory process.
  • Completes cycle counting, controls inventory shortage and manages product expiration
  • Ensures driver records are updated as needed to satisfy BSE and state and federal requirements
  • Ensures all drivers meet Commercial Driver Licensing (CDL) requirements if they drive trucks that are above 26,000 lbs.
  • Other duties as designated by manager or other designate.

Qualifications

  • Four-year business or related degree or the equivalent in work experience.
  • Prior management experience with a minimum of five years of prior warehouse distribution and / or city desk experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of electrical products or systems highly desired.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
  • Prior experience operating a forklift is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English required.
  • Prefer strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Internet, Email and SAP software.
