Borgo is the newest addition to the Marlow Collective (Diner, Marlow & Sons, Romans, Achilles Heel) from restaurateur Andrew Tarlow.
The group’s first restaurant in Manhattan features an expansive formal dining room separated by a fireplace, an open kitchen with a wood-fired oven, and an ambitious beverage program curated by industry veterans.
We are seeking gifted hospitality professionals to join our team.
Responsibilities :
Guest Relations : Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel acknowledged and cared for throughout their dining experience.
Manage reservations, floor plans, flow of service, and any special requests to optimize the guest experience.
Service : Oversee the smooth operation of the dining room, ensuring high standards of service are consistently maintained.
Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
Leadership : Lead, train, and mentor dining room staff, fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
Schedule and manage shifts to ensure adequate coverage and efficient service.
Collaboration : Liaise closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordination between the dining room and kitchen.
Monitor and manage the flow of service to maintain an uptempo yet ordered pace for the guest experience.
Assist in developing strategies to attract guests and maximize retention.
Administrative Duties : Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, guests of note, and all special occasions.
Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and other administrative tasks as needed.
