**Job Description**

The Production Scheduling Specialist role will develop, prepare, and maintain production schedules to achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Coordinate with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories/scrap control, resource availability, and delivery commitments to schedules.

Planning and managing production schedules to meet customer requirements and best utilize available capacity; work with production/manufacturing team to align manpower requirements and logistics center to ensure needed material is delivered

Update internal and external customers on schedule changes by managing Key Performance Indicators

Review component availability and align demand with supplier planner

Maintain inventory adjustments and ensure scrap is processed, as well as reviewing goods movement errors in regards to production components

Maintain safety stock levels for make to stock material while maintaining planning parameters

Make To Order, Make To Stock, Material Requisite Planning (MRP), capacity planning & evaluation, shop-floor execution to meet demands

Reviewing results of MRP runs and analyze exception messages to determine material requirements and assure they are aligned to demand.

**Qualifications**

Completed College/University Degree in a business-related field or 3-5 years of commensurate experience in lieu of education.

Minimum 3 years prior production planning experience, Supply Chain Management, or similar discipline, preferred.

SAP experience is mandatory

Comprehensive knowledge in production and inventory control methods

Follow-up effectively to ensure successful completion of production schedule

Detail oriented, organized with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

Communicate effectively both written and orally

Computer proficiency in latest software programs including MS Office

Must demonstrate a high level of teamwork, customer focus, initiative, and capability to work under minimum supervision

Must be flexible (welcome and adaptable to change), including working hours

Demonstrate discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.

Analytical ability to review fluctuating demands and to minimize production changes and inventory investments.

Able to identify, analyze and resolve problems.

Sense of urgency, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Work independently as well with a group
