Exciting position is available for a 40-hour Clinical Nutrition Specialist with the Inpatient Psychiatry Service (IPS) at our Waltham location. The IPS treats children and adolescents ages 8 to 17 and specializes in the treatment of youth with physical illnesses who also have emotional or behavioral difficulties.
This Pediatric Registered Dietitian will be responsible for:
• Providing comprehensive inpatient nutritional care to patients on the Inpatient Psychiatry Service and other general pediatric patients.
• Evaluating the medical, biochemical, and nutritional information and assessing patient needs in order to develop and implement the most appropriate nutrition care plans.
• Assisting in the supervision of the daily work of the dietetic technician.
To qualify, you must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in nutrition.
• Registration by Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as a Registered Dietitian
• Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a licensed Dietitian.
• Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in-depth, experienced-based knowledge.
• Good communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions and well-developed writing skills
• Spanish language skills a plus
